  • Privy has announced a partnership with Ripple to bring its embedded wallet infrastructure to the XRP Ledger, extending the tools developers can use to build payments inside their applications. The October 13 announcement also describes wallets intended for software agents that make transactions on a user’s behalf.

In Privy’s announcement, written by Debbie Soon, developers will be able to create and manage XRP Ledger wallets programmatically and sign transactions through Privy. The integration is designed to support XRP, Ripple’s RLUSD stablecoin and other assets issued on the ledger.

The company describes a payment flow in which an application can provide a wallet without requiring its users to manage cryptographic keys themselves. That places the wallet inside the app experience, rather than requiring a separate wallet installation before a payment can proceed.

  • Privy also says its server-side wallets can hold funds for agents and transact using x402, a payment protocol used for services accessed over the web.

Yogita Khatri’s October 13 report for The Block confirms the partnership and its payments focus. Stripe acquired Privy in 2025, and Privy continues to operate separately, the report says. The announcement adds the XRP Ledger to the infrastructure available through its wallet tools.

For developers, the release also describes exporting wallet keys or seeds, providing a way to retain ownership and portability. Privy says the partnership will deepen over time, with policy controls and gas sponsorship among the planned additions. Those features should not be treated as fully delivered by this announcement.
