Stand With Crypto adds its first Senate endorsements after Clarity setback

Stand With Crypto expanded its 2026 election programme Wednesday with its first Senate endorsements, backing Republican Sen. Jon Husted in Ohio, Republican Rep. Ashley Hinson in Iowa and Democratic Rep. Chris Pappas in New Hampshire. The Block reported the slate, and Bloomberg Government independently identified the same three candidates.

The advocacy group publicly shared The Block’s report alongside a statement from executive director Mason Lynaugh about shifting its members’ efforts toward electing candidates who support crypto legislation. Lynaugh put the group’s membership at more than three million advocates in that statement. The announcement follows the Senate’s September 15 procedural vote that stopped the Clarity Act from advancing.

The new endorsements expand a campaign that initially concentrated on competitive House districts. In March, Stand With Crypto launched a voter hub and named six House candidates, including both Republicans and Democrats. Its stated strategy combined paid advertising, direct mail and text outreach with local organising through state and college chapters.

The hub grades candidates using public statements, legislative records and responses to the group’s questionnaire. Its initial House slate included Zach Nunn, Susie Lee, Mike Lawler, Don Davis, Greg Landsman and Rob Bresnahan. The March programme identified eight battleground House races and promised further endorsements during the cycle.

Wednesday’s announcement also added House endorsements and outlined additional advertising in six House contests, according to The Block. The report named Democratic Rep. Shomari Figures and Republican Rep. Mariannette Miller-Meeks among the newly endorsed House members, and identified races involving Democratic Rep. Don Davis and Republican Rep. Bryan Steil as advertising targets.

Husted is running against former Senate Banking Committee chairman Sherrod Brown. Pappas faces former Republican Sen. John Sununu, Bloomberg Government reported. The three Senate choices put the group’s backing behind candidates from both parties as it seeks support for federal digital-asset rules.
